Step out of your comfort zone

We always need a change. And I always heard such questions after my training session.

We are very sure about what to change, what all bad habits you want to get rid of, but nothing changes. We get stuck in the same state as always and say “I will change”.

The reason is we are afraid to break the barrier of comfort zone.


Actually, we are stuck in comfort zone. If we get too comfortable with a place, thing or a habit we will be reluctant to change. In this zone we feel at ease and you will have a control of environment. Stepping out of this zone and challenging the new environment makes us uncomfortable. So, we are not willing to leave this zone. Breaking the barrier of this zone by challenging your status quo is the first step towards “a change”.


The one who want to overcome obstacle zone may face following problems.

  1. Lack of courage
  2. Laziness and don’t want to put much effort in things

If you want to be a skilled in English you should be courageous enough to speak and write. Some may have a trouble to start speaking in English. This is because they lack courage and are afraid of criticism. If you let your obstacle zone to break and started speaking you will become confident in your speaking skill. If you start believing in yourself and are ready to face the challenges you can easily step out of this zone.


You started speaking English after breaking your comfort zone. But to become a skilled one you should continue the learning and development stage. In learning zone, you are focused and know what to do to be a skilled one.

Those who have become successful in their life, broke their barrier and stepped out of the comfort zone, took risks to achieve what they dreamt. To live a fulfilling life, explore new things and enjoy doing it.
